The NTWA runs a junior program for children aged 10 - 17 to learn how to become weightlifters.
Guided by qualified coaches, the program takes young people through all aspects of becoming a weightlifter safely and effectively, while learning the full range of the snatch and the clean and jerk. There is even the chance for juniors to participate in NTWA competitions.
The program runs for 9 weeks, in line with each school term, and sessions are held on Wednesday evening and Saturday morning. Lifters can choose to participate in one or both sessions a week. We even accept school vouchers to help with the cost.
